Abishek’s 70 powers India to commanding win over Afghanistan

A high-octane batting display and a disciplined bowling effort carry India through a 20-over contest
India vs Afghanistan
India has won the match by 73 runs
India produced a powerful all-round performance against Afghanistan, piling up 218 for four in their 20 overs before restricting their opponents to 145 for eight. The 73-run victory was built on a commanding batting display and sustained control with the ball. Abishek Sharma set the tone with a fluent 70 from 38 balls, striking nine fours and three sixes. His innings earned him Player of the Match honours and formed the centrepiece of India’s imposing total. Ishan Kishan added a brisk 60 from 36 balls, including four fours and two sixes, to keep the scoring pressure firmly on Afghanistan. Afghanistan’s reply was led by Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who matched Abishek’s score with 67 from 38 deliveries. Gurbaz struck eight fours and two sixes, but India’s attack kept taking wickets and prevented the chase from gathering enough momentum. Jasprith Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep each claimed two wickets in their four-over spells. Bumrah conceded 26 runs, Chakravarthy 28 and Arshdeep 29, underlining the collective discipline that completed India’s convincing performance.
