Mantosh Rai’s all-round masterclass powers Delhi past Panjab

Delhi produced a dominant all-round display to defeat Panjab by nine wickets, chasing 133 with 58 balls to spare. Panjab were dismissed for 132 in 13 overs before Delhi raced to 133 for one in 10.2 overs. Mantosh Rai set the tone with the ball, claiming five wickets for 34 runs in his four overs. His spell dismantled Panjab’s innings and earned him Player of the Match honours after another decisive contribution with the bat. Alok Singh provided Panjab’s main spark, striking 27 from 12 balls with one four and three sixes. But Delhi’s attack kept the rest of the batting line-up under pressure, with Hardik also taking two wickets for 35 runs in three overs. The chase was never in doubt once Delhi’s openers accelerated. Hardik smashed 63 from 28 balls, hitting three fours and five sixes, while Mantosh Rai added 59 from 28 deliveries with three fours and four sixes. Their aggressive partnership powered Delhi to a commanding victory and completed a performance built on sharp bowling and explosive batting.
